friends and lovers ...
what an amazing year it's been and we owe it all to you guys. we've just finished touring for the year and are re-visiting our stash of amazing gifts, pictures and letters you guys have given to us and seriously .. to thank you wouldn't cut it.. you are the best people in the world and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. this year has changed our lives forever but it hasn't and will never change who we are, where we come from and how we've gotten where we are. so where are we exactly? well we've managed to secure our ultimate dream which is to continue making music and touring which is all we've ever cared about. the more people that support (thanks mostly to you guys), the more we're able to do all that. do we think we're big? nope. I know a lot of you guys have had experiences with bands that have met with success and changed in some way shape or form. we've said since day one that money and celebrity and all that is something that doesn't cross our frame of consiousness and we mean it. we still don't have any money and don't by any stretch of the imagination consider ourselves famous. we are all friends and always will be. there is so much more to the world than pop culture and that's what matters. we constantly read, think, learn, develop and grow and we truly want to encourage everyone else to do the same. madina lake would never attempt to sell ideas but rather encourage people to develop their own. it seems that the power of the individual has been decimated by group thought, brainwashing and submission and that is a recipe for disaster. it's important to us to never cater to other peoples ideals and more importantly to never give anyone else the authority to judge or shape someone or something else. to each his own. 2008 is going to be amazing for all of us so remember that and live comfortably in the moment with who you are. we'll be touring all over the world starting jan. 4th and all the while we're continuing to shape our next record. we work on it constantly and will do so until we're confident we've delivered the best we have in us. if that takes 10 years we'll wait, but so far it's looking more like 6 months we're also launching a brand new website within a few weeks that will finally give life to the story of madina lake. there will be messages, clues and the story so thanks for your patience but we wanted to do this right .. hence madina lake time ha.
