Welcome to Madina Lake.... Madina Lake The land of Make You Believe Madina Lake Enchant Reveal
In Madina Lake, an invisible battle is raging in the air, in the streets, in the classrooms, everywhere. The war can only be identified by the sensation of a disarranged energy that convolutes the desired normalcy of everyday life. It’s the battle of good and evil. The artillery is far more dangerous than convectional weaponry. This war is being fought with minds. When the mind is used as a weapon, its casualties include more than just soldiers. Entire cultures get destroyed.
June 23rd, 1951 By 11:00am the search was on... investigators began with Adalia’s apartment. It was likely no more than a coincidence, but no detail is too small in a case such as this. Propped up in her bedside stand was a thick piece of stationary with the words “you can take your soul back, Madina Fire” hand written on one side, using a calligraphy pen.
The magnificent smell of Adalia’s perfume lightly lingered in the air from the previous night’s preparation for the Ball. The authorities had failed drastically to secure the scene. The apartment was littered with investigators, reporters, family and friends. It was easy for lurkers to get in and wonder about, shaking up evidence and even taking some. And they did. Her personal items would be of great value, given they find the body and it was in fact murder. It became quickly apparent that the police were not the first to arrive at the scene, since the disappearance. A jar of writers ink was spilled on Adalia’s vanity area, where she did her letter writing and journal keeping. The ink was still dripping, indication with relative certainty that someone had been in her apartment between the disappearance and this morning. If she had knocked it over before the ball, it clearly would have dried now Other than this, the only evidence that could be produced during the search was an auspicious letter and a cache of letters that were written or received by Adalia. The correspondence was between her and an unknown source. Each letter had barely legible script, but an obvious signature. It was the initials “TFB”
Nights like last night leave nothing but a foggy trail of half events. Reconstructing an evening that was this inebriated would be an arduous task for any investigator. They confiscated a number of items from the Ballroom, one of them being the guest list. They started at the top and interviewed everyone that they could find who was in attendance. For the most part, people’s stories and alibis matched. Everyone recalls seeing Adalia throughout the first half of the Ball, but not towards the end of it. The investigation ultimately became focused on the group she arrived with and who they had talked to throughout the night.
Among them is Pandora, an illustrious and beautiful woman. Her friendship with Adalia feels more like a business relationship than anything of substance. They certainly have their moments of affinity, but from any outside perspective, there’s an obvious motive. Pandora is Adalia’s pilot fish: every morsel of attention that spills off Adalia is consumed by her. She aligns herself with the town’s latest infatuation to keep her own name and likeness in the headlines. She’ll never comprehend how ungratifying this pattern is. Therefore, she’ll never cease to enact it. As asinine as it is, people do envy her. But repeated attempts to contact Pandora by telephone didn’t work and investigators were soon sidpatched to her house, where they found something interesting. Her apartment was unlocked. The place was a mess. It looked like there could have been a struggle, because some clothes and her purse and make-up were strewn about. Another suggestion was that she simply stopped by her place in a rush, threw together what bare essentials she may need for a few days, and fled. And this would be the theory they operated on. They figured Pandora knew she wasn’t well liked, and would ultimately be a focal point in this investigation. She much have known something, got scared and left. But where could she have gone? None of her associates would take her in because of the nature of the crime and her suspected role in it. She certainly wasn’t brave enough to flee into the forest...
In the meantime, further evidence gleaned from those who had attended the Arlene Ball revealed two additional suspects who had spent considerable time speaking with Adalia; Two men: Sheldon and Forrest – neither of whom was readily located by the authorities. So, whole they waited for these leads to resurface, police turned their attention to reconstituting the events leading up to the Arlene Ball, and obtaining more info about Sheldon and Forrest...
